Rehab Program Opens
REHABILITATION PROGRAM OPENS Funded by grants from Wheat Ridge Ministries and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation, Christ Memorial recently hired Fitness Nurse Lisa Cunningham to begin a rehabilitation program for the under-insured and uninsured in our congregation and in our community. In cooperation with St. Anthony’s Medical Center, our new rehabilitation program began receiving referrals on Monday, March 8. The hours for the rehab program are 11:00—3:00 Monday—Friday. To schedule an appointment with our Fitness Nurse, call 631-0304 extension 2106.
Easter Egg Hunt
Come join us for our Easter Egg Hunt & Games on Saturday March 20, 2010 for children 0-10. ALL are welcome (not just members). Everything will be inside for this free event. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the festivities go until 11:30 am. We are looking for volunteers to stuff eggs, help with set up on Friday March 19th, help with the hunt, the games, face painting, & help clean up after it is over. We are also taking donations of individually wrapped candy. To volunteer or for more information please call or email Judy Ohlau 636-225-2886 lohlau@yahoo.com. We look forward to spreading the good news of our risen Savior!
Special Worship Opportunity
On March 13/14, we will be hosting the Good News Players, a college drama troupe from Concordia, St. Paul under the direction of Dr. Jeff Burkhart at all worship services.
Reliant Moves
Reliant “Moves”: On Easter Sunday, our Reliant Mission will relocate its worship space to the Grandel Theater (home of the Black Reparatory Theater) on Grand, just north of the Fox. This comes after much prayer and discussion amongst our Reliant missionaries and Christ Memorial leadership. This highly visible landmark space is an opportunity to advance our mission and reach more people with the gospel. For more information, see the upcoming Clarion article or visit reliantchurch.org.
Creating a Caring Community
MEMBERS: The Shepherd Ministry is sponsoring an International Conference called “Creating a Caring Community” to be held on April 23-24. All members are encouraged to look through the brochure and sign-up for only $25 (includes five workshop choices, a banquet on Friday and a lunch on Saturday). The conference includes 25 different workshops with five Christ Memorial speakers plus many others from out-of-town. Ask Carolyn Miner, Joan Dubberke or Pat Jackson for a brochure and call the Shepherd office at 722-2065 with questions.
Green Park Lutheran School Opening
Green Park Lutheran School is seeking candidates for the position of Principal. Please send the name, location and current position of candidates you wish to be considered, and any other information you choose to share, to a member of the Call Committee by telephone or e-mail. Enroll - Green Park Lutheran School
Green Park Lutheran School - Now Enrolling for the 2010-2011 School Year. Green Park Lutheran School provides an excellent Christian education for children in grades kindergarten through eighth. We are now accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year. For more information please call 544-4248 or check out our website at www.Greenparklutheranschool.org. Feel free to join us the second Wednesday of each month for chapel, school information and a tour beginning at 8:30am.
Saturday Supper
This Month’s Saturday Supper will be on March 27 immediately following the 5:00 PM worship service. To make reservations, just call the church office or if you’d like to pick your own spot, stop by the church office and reserve your place on the dinner seating chart.
Blood Pressure Checks
PARISH HEALTH VOLUNTEERS will be taking Blood Pressures this week-end. Look for them in the Commons in front of the Fitness Center.
Lutheran Day at Busch Stadium
Lutheran Day at Busch Stadium will be Thursday, April 15, 12:40 PM game, Cardinals vs Astros and then watch L South vs L North after the Cardinals game. Tickets are $15 or $20. To order tickets, contact Debbie Smith at 631-1400 or look for our member representative after services to order tickets.

Theatre Camp
Christ Memorial Theatre Camp – 3:30-5:30 PM on July 19-23 and/or July 26-30. Fee is $45/week, $80 for both weeks. Ages 9 thru 17.
Sigma Club and Support Dogs
SIGMA Club is sponsoring an informative demonstration from Support Dogs, Inc. on Sunday, March 14th at 3:30 until 4:30 or 5:00. Support Dogs is a not for profit organization that places highly trained service dogs with people of various handicaps, as well as dogs in Touch programs and PAWS for reading to help children with their reading and learning skills. If you would like to learn more about this, and view a demonstration with a dog and handler, please join us. No reservations necessary. Lay Bible Institute
Concordia Seminary will host a one day Lay Bible Institute on Saturday, March 20, from 9:00 am–4:00 pm on the topic of “Muslim Outreach.” This workshop will be led by Dr. John Loum, director of the Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology (EIIT), who has worked among Muslims for more than 20 years. The cost for the seminar is $20, plus $6.50 for an optional lunch ticket in the Seminary’s dining hall. To register, or for more information, call 314-505-7486 or ce@csl.edu.
Treasure Sale
WOMEN'S GUILD TREASURE SALE - The ladies are busy sorting so please bring in all of those "like new" treasures that you have been storing in your attics and basement for the Treasure Sale. Dates are April
14 & 15th. Drop your items off in the back hall, or leave them in the blue plastic container by the back door, or in the little red shed in back of our church. Do not bring conputers or furniture (unless you first talk to Joyce Renna about it). Call Joyce if you have questions at 843-8854.
Bake Sale
WOMEN’S GUILD BAKE SALE - The Women’s Guild is sponsoring a Bake Sale before and after all services March 20 & 21. All proceeds are designated for the Thrivent Challenge Grant benefiting the Fitness Center and the new Rehabilitation Service. Every dollar collected will be matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Please stop by the table, purchase an item or just make a donation, and enjoy some of the finest baked goods in South County. All Guild members are asked to bring their baked goods to the church kitchen by 4:00 p.m. Saturday (3/20). “If you enjoy baking, here is your chance to shine. The more you bake, the more we make!”
Witnessing Workshop
“Witnessing Workshop” is being a “contagious Christian” important to you? If so, the Witnessing Workshop might be helpful. Christ Memorial’s next workshop begins on Monday, March 8 and continue through Monday, May 3, except for Easter Monday. These eight weeks can help to make witnessing a part of your lifestyle. If you wish to participate or want more information, contact Pastor Bill (631-0304) or Walt Hick (842-0736). Remember Matt. 28:19 “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.”

Service to the Homeless
Service to the Homeless: 7th-12th graders are invited to help serve Saturday March 13th 8:30am-1:00pm in the soup kitchen at Trinity Lutheran, Soulard. Sign up in the Youth Room.
Lancerettes and Cheerleading Tryouts
Lutheran South Lancerettes will be holding tryouts for the 2010-2011 dance team beginning April 6th. Clinics will be held April 6-8 from 4-6 PM with tryouts on the April 9th from 4-6 PM.
Lutheran South Cheerleading will begin holding tryouts for the fall 2010-2011 season beginning April 12th. Clinics will be April 12-14 from 4-6 PM with tryouts on April 15th from 4-6 PM.
Attire for both will be white shirts, black shorts or pants, white socks and jazz shoes (dancers) or tennis shoes. Please call Debbie Smith @ 631-1400 to sign up. Students application for enrollment to Lutheran South must be on file before tryouts.

Green Park Grocery and Gift Cards
Green Park Grocery and Gift Cards-Please continue to purchase your Dierbergs and Shop ‘n Save, Walmart, and Walgreens cards. These cards can be obtained each Sunday from the Green Park table in the Commons. There are also gift cards available from hundreds of stores, restaurants, gasoline companies, etc that can be ordered using the form available at the Green Park table. This program generates free money for the school. Please continue your support for the school. Thank you.
Dare 2 Share
Dare 2 Share Conference: Sr. High Youth are invited to be transformed as they experience Dare 2 Share’s BLAZE conference and have an Isaiah-type experience they will never forget. Mark your calendars for March 26th-27th. Registration along with $60 payment is due TODAY, March 14th. Scholarships are available upon request.

Men's Club
Next Men’s Club Meeting-Monday, March 22at 7:00 PM in Rm 306. The menu for the night will be chili, hot dogs and home made apple cobbler (ala mode??). We would like younger men of the congregation to join ua fo a short meeting, good food and socializing (cards). Come hungry!!!!!
